Looking for some comfort food to get you through hard times? Ice cream is the perfect solution, but some flavors are better than others.

We could all use a little comfort now and again (especially now) and what better way to relax than a pint of ice cream and your favorite Netflix show? While everyone has their favorite flavors, these are some of the best (in my opinion). Let’s take a look at the 10 best ice cream flavors of all-time (according to me).

1. Mint Chocolate Chip

Mint and chocolate…what’s not to like? It’s like Thin Mints in ice cream form. Do I really need to say more? Minty goodness, chocolate, and ice cream all in one delicious treat. I’m drooling just thinking about it. It’s refreshing and creamy and the perfect end to any meal. Also, it’s my favorite flavor of all time!

2. Cookies and Cream

If you didn’t think you could make the Oreo better, you were wrong. Cookies and cream ice cream is what dreams are made of. It’s the perfect mix of everyone’s favorite chocolate sandwich cookie and the world’s most perfect creamy dessert! It’s really a match made in heaven. Oreos are great, but cookies and cream is spectacular!

3. Strawberry Cheesecake

If you haven’t tried strawberry cheesecake ice cream, please do! It’s like a creamier version of cheesecake with strawberry sauce and, in my opinion, even better. Because the ice cream has more air in it than the usual cheesecake, you can eat more of it since it’s less filling. And when something tastes as good as this, you kind of want to eat as much as you can get.

4. Superman

I’m not sure whether this is just a Midwest thing or not, but if you see it at an ice cream shop near you or at the grocery store (while you’re out getting supplies), please give Superman a try. It may look like it’s for kids because of the red, blue, and yellow colors, but trust me, it’s worth it. The colors are based on the man of steel himself. The taste depends on the brand, but it’s usually either vanilla or fruity. Whatever the taste is, it’s good.

5. Pistachio

Ok, I know not everyone is going to agree with me on this one, but I love pistachio ice cream. From my extensive research finding every brand of this flavor I can find, the less bright green it is, the better (and less artificial) it tastes. Ben & Jerry’s is one of the best because it’s barely green at all and has actual pistachios in it. If you tend to like pistachio-flavored foods, please check out some of this ice cream.

6. Half Baked

Speaking of Ben & Jerry’s, their Half-Baked flavor is one of their best. How can you say no to chocolate and vanilla ice cream with chocolate chip cookie dough and brownies mixed in? My friends and I used to get a pint each and watch movies together. What kid doesn’t want three different desserts in one container? If you like to mix in a bunch of different toppings into your ice cream when you go to a shop, this is the flavor for you!

7. Rocky Road

Rocky Road may not be a classic like chocolate or vanilla, but it’s popular enough that it should be. As if chocolate ice cream wasn’t good enough, add in chopped nuts and marshmallows and you have a perfect flavor. Most brands like Edy’s and Haagen-Dazs use almonds, but others mix in pecans or even peanuts.

8. Neapolitan

Can’t decide what flavor you like best? Neapolitan ice cream is the perfect solution. Feeling like chocolate and vanilla? Scoop out some from those two sections. More in a strawberry mood? Grab a spoon and dig in. And if you want all three, you can have them all and not have to buy three different cartons. What’s better than that?

9. Butter Pecan

Anything with the word butter in the title is good in my book and butter pecan does not disappoint. You really can’t go wrong with butter-y vanilla ice cream that has toasted pecans mixed in. The crunchy of the pecans with the smooth, cold of the ice cream are the perfect match. This is my go-to when I can’t decide what flavor to get. It’s never not good.

10. Double Chocolate Almond

This is not a common flavor but one that is absolutely exceptional if you can find it. I get it from Hudsonville Ice Cream which is a local brand in Michigan. If you’re ever near the Great Lakes, it’s definitely a sweet treat you want to try. It’s chocolate ice cream with chocolate covered almonds mixed in. It is possibly the best thing you will ever taste!
