In the world of soda, it comes down to two drinks: Coca-Cola vs Pepsi. Which soda is the best?
When it comes to soda, we all have a favorite. But it seems that, no matter how many new and different flavors surface, we always return to one favorite. And this favorite is either Coca-Cola (aka Coke) or Pepsi. What makes these two flavors stand out so much and why do we prefer one over the other? It’s Coca-Cola vs Pepsi!
To decide which one is best, we’ll breakdown the flavor and brand! We will also include what each company specializes in. But let’s begin with one questions: Before we dive in, which is your favorite?
Which came first, Coca-Cola or Pepsi? That would be Coke, which was invented in 1886 by a chemist named John Pemberton. The Pepsi came years after in 1893. Let’s give Coca-Cola the win here for debuting first. Coke: 1 Pepsi: 0

The design: Even though a bright red calls your attention the most, that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a better color. I have to give Pepsi’s slick blue. my vote here. Coke: 1 Pepsi: 1

The fizz: This one is a close tie, but due to having more carbonation (according to this chart), Coke has slightly more fizz. Coke 2: Pepsi 1
The taste and aftertaste: Pepsi is sweeter, but are we looking for something sweet when we crave a soda or just a satisfying, refreshing, and cold drink? I’d say it’s the latter. There’s also the fact that Pepsi leaves you with an aftertaste. Now, whether you enjoy the aftertaste and sweetness of Pepsi is all up to you! But I’m going to give these two votes to Coca-Cola for being more zesty and having no aftertaste. Coke: 4 Pepsi: 1
