Starbucks coffee vs. Dunkin’ coffee has been debated by many for years! While there’s a clear winner, let’s dive into each coffee and compare and contrast different menu items to see the good and the bad and crown our true winner here!

Starbucks coffee and Dunkin’ coffee are very different. You either like Starbucks better or you like Dunkin’ better; nobody’s really ever split between the two. For me, there’s a clear-cut winner, but before we go ahead and crown them, let’s take a look and compare the two coffee establishments for some more insight into each of them.

1. PLAIN HOT LATTE: Dunkin’

At Dunkin’, I have ordered a plain hot latte multiple times. I like the taste of coffee, so I don’t always need some other flavor in it to enjoy it. Dunkin’s plain hot lattes are fine, but they’re nothing to write home about. It tastes like the coffee you get at your favorite local diner or something like that.

Would I order one again? Probably. But maybe next time, I’d try it with a little extra flavoring in it.

2. PLAIN HOT LATTE: Starbucks

At Starbucks, this is something that I’ve ordered a bunch of times and it never disappoints, especially if the latte is made with their signature Pike’s Place Roast.

To me, Starbucks just has that “it” factor. A plain hot latte you’d think would be boring and bland, but at Starbucks, you won’t be disappointed. It doesn’t need any flavoring or sugar or anything like that (not unless you don’t like the taste of coffee, then you shouldn’t be ordering this).

Would I order one again? Absolutely.

3. MACCHIATO: Starbucks & Dunkin’

The macchiatos from both establishments taste the same for the most part. The biggest difference here is the price. Starbucks is almost a whole dollar more than Dunkin’ (when it comes to most drink items and other menu items); however, as I’m sure you’ve heard the saying before, you get what you pay for.

When it comes to hot macchiatos, I don’t see much of a difference.

When it comes to iced macchiatos, Dunkin’s version tastes way to sweet and basically looks like milk with a splash of coffee in it. Starbucks is just a beautiful layer of perfect taste and goodness.

4. COLD BREW: Dunkin’

I’m a sucker for cold brew, that’s all I can say. Cold brew is like a blank canvas; you can drink it plain or you can add any flavor to it and you still taste the goodness that comes with cold brew.

As far as Dunkin’s cold brew goes, it’s just okay. It’s a bit weaker than I like to drink, but it’ll do.

Would I order it again? If every Starbucks ran out of their cold brews and there was nowhere else to go.

5. COLD BREW: Starbucks

Yes, please. Cold brew at Starbucks is like no other. Previously, I’d have to add a little bit of something to cold brew, even if it was just a Splenda. Since Starbucks came out with their NITRO cold brew, my life was changed forever (in the best way possible).

The cold brew’s at Starbucks look like you’re pouring beer from a tap (so cool to watch).

There is a difference between their normal, classic cold brew and their Nitro. The normal, classic cold brew comes with ice, the Nitro does not. I much prefer the Nitro version over the classic. Adding the ice makes it too watery and weakens it (unless you add some flavor to it then it’s fine).

Would I order it again? As long as they serve it, I will be ordering it.

6. FRAPS: Starbucks & Dunkin’

There’s really no comparison here. Starbucks fraps are so much better than Dunkin’s. Dunkin’s fraps are way too icy and sweet for my liking. If you don’t like super sweet tastes in your fraps, go to Starbucks, you can add or subtract whatever you want and make it even better!

light. Also. Which Oreo flavors make the top of the list?

Overall, Starbucks is the clear-cut winner here! However, everyone’s opinions are different and preferences change.

Let us know in the comments who you think takes the crown and what you like to drink from there as well! We’d love to know!
