Major League Eating Quarantine Challenge: Ramen Noodle Cups (Finale Part 4)
The Major League Eating Quarantine Challenge has finally come to an end. Let’s go and see how the final two competitors faired out against the challenger, Ramen Noodle Cups.
This whole Major League Eating Quarantine Challenge has been super interesting to watch and see how some popular competitive eaters do against each other and the food challenges that they had in front of them.
While some favorites lost, there still is a huge favorite in the final two, which consists of Joey Chestnut and Gideon Oji. In last night’s finale YouTube episode, the two men were up against some Ramen Noodle Cups (not just one, but TEN).
Let’s take a look at how the competition went down and who the ultimate winner of this whole thing was!
First up, as always, here were the following rules for the competition finale:
- Each competitor must eat 10 cups of Ramen Noodles and the broth (full bowl)
- The first competitor finished is the winner (of ENTIRE competition)
- Outside beverages ARE allowed
- Penalties for spillage and messes
- All Ramen Noodle Cups had to be emptied into a clear bowl, stacked right next to them
Before the big finale began with Chestnut v. Oji, there was essentially a ‘consolation’ eating contest for third place that happened between Darron Breeden and Nick Wehry. Even with a three-second penalty, Wehry still came out ahead by a mere four seconds to hold the title of third place.
Now, onto the more fun and important stuff here: the BIG finale! They previewed both final contestants and each looked eager to begin with nothing but eating and winning on their minds. Taking an early lead was Chestnut, slithering down his first huge bowl of Ramen Noodles in under two minutes. His luck and speed continued and it took him to be the BIG WINNER of the BetOnline MLE Quarantine Eating Challenge Competition!
A HUGE congrats to Joey (although we all knew he’d have an amazing shot at winning this whole thing, come on)!
Let us know in the comments below which eating challenge part was your favorite 1-4! How would you have done with last night’s competition, and would you have paired well against Chestnut?!
