BAKED LAYS vs. CLASSIC LAYS

This particular variety is a bit tricky because, with the baked variety, you simply just don’t get the same overly salty and perfectly thin and crisp taste and texture that you get with the classic, original variety of Lays. But that’s okay.

Starting off with the classic variety, obviously, this chip can be eaten and dipped into almost anything and definitely a party favorite and cult classic (that’s for darn sure). You get that super thin and salty flavor that just reminds you of that backyard barbecue on the Fourth of July.

As far as the baked version of Lays goes, I think it’s very delicious. The baked version of these chips is a bit bigger than the originals, meaning that you probably get a few less in an individual sized bag.

Here’s a few nutritional facts about the Lays Baked Chips:

  • Oven-baked, not fried
  • Contains 65% less fat than original potato chips
    • Original potato chips typically contain 10g of fat per 1oz. serving
  • One single-serve bag contains 140 calories

In comparison, here are a few nutritional facts about the Lays Original Chips:

  • Fried, not oven-baked
  • Contains 10g. of fat in one single-serve bag
    • Depending on flavors as well
  • One single-serve bag contains 160 calories
