Sunchips: Ranking 7 flavors of this fan-favorite chip

4. Harvest Cheddar

Usually anything Cheddar flavored tends to be a cult favorite for many chips, such as Ruffles or Pringles. Every time I eat these, there’s a flavor that I taste that I just absolutely love, and it tastes familiar, but I can never pinpoint it.

Upon doing some research here, I came to find out that the familiar thing I am tasting is Onion Powder (which I personally love cooking with as well, besides it just tasting good on these Harvest Cheddar Sunchips). In addition to using the obvious cheddar cheese with these chips, the ingredients also suggest that Romano cheese is also used (usually Romano cheese is strong and kinda smelly, but I don’t really taste in these chips, personally).

Obviously, as most Sunchips go with everything, these Cheddar ones are definitely in the top for flavored chips that go with anything and everything else that you may be eating, for example, for lunch.

These chips, to me, are absolutely perfect. They’ve got a strong cheddar taste, but it’s not too strong or messy to the point where you’ve gotta have something to cut the taste out (basically, what I’m trying to convey here is that the amount of cheese is perfect and definitely not overly cheesy if you don’t like things like that). There’s also no overpowering aftertaste.

Overall, Harvest Cheddar deserves a 7.7 out of 10.
