D’USSE Cognac cocktail recipes for Mother’s Day and beyond

You don’t have to be a master cocktail maker to create a special drink for mom. In fact, thanks to D’USSE Cognac, all you need is a few ingredients and a little bit of love.

I’m not saying you forgot to get mom a gift for Mother’s Day, but with everything going on in the world, it wouldn’t be surprising if things slipped through the cracks. After all, do we even know what day it really is? And while I am not saying a cocktail is the perfect gift this year, it’s definitely not a bad idea.

With the help of D’USSE Cognac, we have to mom-inspired cocktails that are not only perfect for Mother’s Day, but really any day of the year. Whether you are looking for a happy hour cocktail, a drink to toast mom with, or a beverage that’s perfect for date night, these Cognac cocktail recipes are the perfect answer!

D’USSE Cognac is giving us two cocktails that are perfect for mom. There is The Achiever (for the mom who is ambitious and driven) and The Sophisticate (inspired by the mom who is elegant and refined), with the Achiever being my favorite of the two.

To make The Achiever you’ll need:

• 2 parts of D’USSE VSOP Cognac
• 1 1/2 parts of pineapple juice
• 1/2 part of cranberry juice
• a wedge of lime to garnish

To make the Achiever, all you need to do is layer this drink into a glass over ice. Garnish with your wedge of lime to finish the drink off. It’s simple and refined, with a lot of flavor.

To make The Sophisticate you’ll need:

• 1 1/2 parts of D’USSE VSOP Cognac
• 3/4 part of ST-GERMAIN Elderflower Liqueur
• MARTINI & ROSSI Prosecco (or any Prosecco really)
• a twist of lemon to garnish

To make the Sophisticate, add the D’USSE Cognac and ST-GERMAIN Elderflower Liqueur into a shaker with ice. Shake the mix together and then strain it into a champagne glass. You will then use the Prosecco to top the mixture and finally garnish it with the lemon twist.

Honestly, both of these cocktails are simple and refined. They are perfect for moms everywhere, and they are great for making any time of the year.
