AUSTRIA

McToast Schinken-Käse (Ham & Cheese)

The McToasts are huge hits and also some pretty big cult classic favorites at any and all McDonald’s out there in Austria. It’s essentially thinly sliced bread that is perfectly pressed/toasted (kind of looks like panini-based bread), all filled with some gooey cheese, and thin little strips of ham. Seems like the perfect sandwich to have morning, noon, and night!

Banana Shake

This dessert shake menu item is NOT just available in Austria; in fact, it’s available in just about all European McDonald’s, such as the UK for example. Another simple menu item that I know will taste delicious. I personally love banana-flavored candies and banana-based desserts as well, so for someone like me, a banana flavored milkshake will be a classic favorite and usual order (if you’re like me as well here).

McFish

This is very similar to the Filet-o-Fish; however, it seems to have a different type of breading, according to me doing some research and looking up some pictures on the menu (before translating). The menu says that it’s topped with “nothing but ketchup”, and man it surely does sound delicious. If it’s like the Filet-o-Fish, it won’t smell overly fishy, and will still be something for just about anyone and everyone to enjoy at hand here!

An honorable mention here for Austrian McDonald’s is their Cocktail Dip and Italian Dip. The Cocktail Dip will go with any type of fish or shrimp dish. The Italian Dip takes you “directly to Bella Italia” according to their website, and goes perfectly with their (delicious, if I do say so myself) Mozzarella Sticks as well here!
