If you’re someone who doesn’t have access to an outdoor grill or any sort of stove top grill, then just throw your corn cobs right into any frying pan to get a quick and smoky sear! Also, I’ve got a tip that might help make things a bit easier for you as well.
Simply put, cut the corn kernels off of the cob BEFORE grilling the corn; if it’s done in this sort of way, then getting a nice even seasoning and char is more attainable and easier to accomplish.

Here are the ingredients that you will need, in order to make this grilled corn salsa recipe:
- 5 ears of yellow corn (cut off OR used whole)
- EVOO (Extra Virgin Olive Oil)
- Salt
- 1 whole avocado, cut up
- 1 cup grape tomatoes, quartered (or however you prefer them to be cut)
- 1/2 of a red onion, chopped finely
- Sliced basil (amount to your liking/taste)
Here are the ingredients that you will need to make the dressing that goes with this salsa:
- EVOO (Extra Virgin Olive Oil)
- Lime juice
- 1 garlic clove (personally, I would omit this as I’m not a huge fan of a lot of strong garlic)
- Crushed red pepper flakes
- Salt
