Lenny & Larry’s Cookies

Lenny & Larry’s makes cookies that are packed with plant-based protein and fiber, providing a treat that satisfies each sweet tooth, tummy and muscle alike. There’s an option to satisfy each sugary craving with their epic roster Complete Cookies, Complete Crunchy, Complete Cremes, and even a low-carb option with their new Keto Cookie in fun flavors that make every burpee worth the journey.

My personal favorites are the Complete Cookies. With up to 16 grams of plant-based proteins and 10 grams of fiber, these dairy-free, no egg, vegan and Non-GMO Project Verified cookies make for non-cheat treats. With tantalizing flavors like Chocolate Chip, Peanut Butter, Oatmeal Raisin and Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip, you will surely find a cookie you love.

Kevin’s Natural Foods

As recently profiled by Guilty Eats, Kevin’s Natural Foods is named after Kevin McCray. McCray was an active, health-conscious college student when he was hit with an auto-immune disorder that changed his life forever. After being laid up in the hospital for weeks and pumped full of corticosteroids, the flare-ups eventually subsided, only to rear their head and land Kevin back in the hospital every few months.

More from Drinks

Frustrated and defeated by those hospital stays, McCray read up on the effectiveness of a paleo-friendly diet with regard to reducing symptoms of autoimmune disorders. He decided to give it a shot, and this led to long-term success with his health and well-being. It also led to the founding of Kevin’s Natural Foods, which makes excellent paleo and keto-certified “Heat & Eat”-style entrees, simmer sauces and seasonings. The entrees themselves currently come in 8 different flavors — including Korean-Style BBQ Chicken, Cilantro Lime Chicken and Beef Chili — and are gluten-free.

Amelia Toffee

From flavors like Key Lime, Orange Blossom, to even some yummy coffee toffee, you really can’t go wrong gifting a lover of sweets with Amelia Toffee. Based on an old family recipe, the Amelia Toffee Company was founded by Anita Comisky. Its handcrafted toffee is made in a Florida kitchen, crafted in small batches. Partner brands with Amelia Toffee include Rethreaded’s Survivor Coffee, the St. Augustine Distillery and Florida Pure Sea Salt.

Speaking of bourbon, I cannot confirm whether I personally devored a full bag of Amelia’s Bourbon Toffee in a full sitting. But its mix of dark chocolate, bourbon flavoring and roasted salted almonds was unforgettable.

KOS Protein Powder

Earlier this year KOS plant-based protein announced a nationwide launch in Whole Foods Market. In collaboration with United Natural Foods Inc. (UNFI), KeHE and C&S Wholesale Grocers, KOS has brought its delicious, additive-free and award-winning, organic, plant-based proteins in Vanilla and Chocolate, Show Me The Greens Veggie Blend, and Love You Berry Much Reds Blend to 400 locations of the beloved healthy-eating retail icon.

Since launching in 2018, KOS has been on a mission to reach its core audience — people who eat, of course — with a message of physiological redemption as key to healing both self and planet. My current favorite of the KOS offerings is its Organic Cacao Powder. 1 scoop has just 15 calories with one container giving you 103 servings.

Old Arthur’s Sauces & Rubs

The Old Arthur name comes from the man who developed these unique blends of flavors, Arthur Watts, who lived to be 108. Born into slavery on a Missouri production farm in 1837, Watts crafted his seasonings while preparing the owner’s family meals over an open pit.

Following the Emancipation in 1863, Watts put his cooking skills to work earning a living catering social functions for churches and cities; his reputation as a highly-skilled pit master quickly grew, earning him work throughout central Illinois.

Crafted from family recipes that have been passed down for five generations, the Pit Master’s Gift Pack is the perfect gift for the grilling enthusiast in your family. The gift pack contains 2 bottles of Old Arthur’s Original Barbeque Sauce and 1 bottle of Hot & Spicy Sauce, plus 6 signature dry rubs (Smokestack, Righteous Poultry, Stockyard Steak, Gold Dust, Bootleg and Crossroads).

It’s a flavorful gift that’s perfect for that hard-to-buy-for cook on your list.. It makes for a perfect starter kit for a beginning cook, yet even an accomplished BBQ chef will appreciate its smartly-crafted blends.
