Hostess has launched new snack cake iced lattes

Everyone has a favorite Hostess snack cake, right? You’re either a die-hard Twinkie fan, always down for a Ding Dong when given the choice, or you hoard Snoballs in your desk like nobody’s business.

Lots of people enjoy their favorite Hostess snack with their coffee in the morning. But what if you could eliminate the snack cake altogether? I know it sounds blasphemous, but it’s not as bad as you would think.

Hostess has now gone into the coffee business and has come out with iced lattes in the flavors of their top four bestselling snack cakes. The flavors include Twinkie, Honey Bun, Ding Dong, and Snoball. Imagine your coffee tasting like a Twinkie! What will they come up with next?

The lattes were recently spotted at Blain’s Farm and Fleet in the Midwest for only $1.99 a bottle but given the popularity of iced lattes and Hostess snack cakes, these are bound to be available in most local grocery stores.

While this may not be your usual Starbucks order, at least with this you just have to pick it up and go. No need to wait in line at the drive-thru. Stock up on them and you can have one anytime you want. After one trip to the grocery store, you don’t have to leave your house to get a latte again.

New iced lattes come in four different flavors based on Hostess snack cakes

According to Candyhunting on Instagram, the lattes taste just like the cakes they represent except for the Honey Bun. They described that as tasting “offputting” and having “an incredibly artificial honey flavor.”

Honey is definitely a difficult flavor to reproduce especially when there’s coffee involved too. But besides that, the Ding Dong tastes like chocolate and marshmallow, the Twinkie tastes like a Twinkie, and the Snoball tastes like coconut and chocolate.

While these iced lattes might be a replacement for your normal morning (afternoon and evening) Hostess cake, there is certainly no shame in enjoying one with your favorite snack cake. Enjoy your Twinkie with your Twinkie-flavored latte. No one can stop you!
