Pei Wei has launched the Spicy Korean BBQ Steak created exclusively for the restaurant by celebrity chef Jet Tila.

Good news for one and all as according to Chewboom, Pei Wei has a new dish to get your taste buds howling. The new spicy Korean BBQ steak is inspired by Chef Jet Tila and it just happens to be one of Chef Tila’s favorite dishes.

If his name sounds familiar, Tila has had many TV appearances on the Food Network and also the Today show. He is renowned for his work with many different Asian cuisines and he has been named as the inaugural Culinary Ambassador of Thai Cuisine by the Royal Thai Consul-General.

The new dish combines some traditional components all tossed in a wok for a great sear and a melding of the flavors. Scallions and garlic are tossed in with red bell peppers, onions, and cauliflower and of course, the star of the show is the mouthwatering grass-fed steak.

Everything is combined with a gochujang sauce which certainly brings the heat to the dish. Make sure to have a drink handy while eating.

There is more than one option for anyone to pair along with the spicy Korean BBQ steak

Although in promotional pictures the spicy Korean BBQ steak is served over white rice, anyone can choose to pair the dish with multiple options. The options include traditional standards such as white rice, fried rice, brown rice, or noodles. You can also go even more healthy and pair your spicy Korean BBQ steak with salad greens, lettuce cups, cauliflower rice, or cauliflower fried rice.

This is Jet Tila’s second creation for Pei Wei. The restaurant previously launched a spicy Thai basil cashew chicken dish back in May of this year. Both Jet Tila creations are available at Pei Wei locations for a limited time. You can try either at locations nationwide.
