Sometimes, someone gets an idea and you realize they must be a genius. That’s how I feel about the Krispy Kreme employee who put a donut through the glaze machine 25 times. As a self-proclaimed sugar addict, I must applaud this person and if they know what they’re doing, Krispy Kreme should totally put that colossal sugar monstrosity on the menu.
And, of course, because it’s 2020, the masterpiece was caught on video and put on TikTok. Thank goodness! The Tik Tok user @ jackpaul_jones explains the thought process behind this event:
"Since it was a slow day at work we decided it was time we experimented. We wanted to find out just how many times we could glaze a donut. Our shift manager was skeptical but we told her it needed to be done"

It had to be done! The clip is split up into different moments of the lone donut going until the glaze waterfall and it’s cut for length so we all don’t have to watch a donut go through the glaze machine 25 times.

We see the donut after the first and third glazing, then the video quickly speeds through 4-14, and then the donut with 15 glazes is revealed. It is a thing of sugary beauty!
But the employees aren’t done yet. The Tik Tok video then shoots to glaze 18, 20, and then finally 25. The video states that the resulting donut was so heavy they had to put it in a box because “it almost tore through a bag.”
The final scene shows the Krispy Kreme box being opened to reveal the glorious final result. The donut is practically broken in half due to the weight of all that icing. But does that stop me from wanting to take a bite out of it? Nope! I’d totally pay extra for that. I might only do it once, but I’m sure it’d be sugary deliciousness. If nothing else, it would be memorable.

Sadly, this is not something Krispy Kreme currently has on their menu, but a girl can hope.
