Shake Shack has a new Hot Chick’n lineup for spicy food lovers
Shake Shack has debuted a new Hot Chick’n lineup to accompany the re-release of their Hot Chick’n Sandwich.
Shake Shack is bringing back an old favorite to get our taste buds singing or maybe even screaming. As reported by Chewboom, Shake Shack has added their Hot Chick’n to their menu for the first time in two years. Hot chicken sandwiches are never a bad idea for any restaurant to carry so this is a prudent move by Shake Shack as they continue to try to entice consumers to eat at their locations or bring their food home with takeout.
The latest launch of Shake Shack’s hot Chick’n is their most ambitious yet. They have added some new twists to create what can be viewed as a line of spicy items. Along with the Hot Chick’n Sandwich, Shake Shack is also adding Hot Chick’n Bites, Hot Spicy Cheese Fries, and Hot Spicy Fries.
To bring the heat, Shake Shack dusts the chicken or fries with a guajillo and cayenne pepper blend which they say took months to perfect. When ordering, you can choose between heat levels of hot or extra hot. As an added bonus of ordering through the Shake Shack app, you can choose maximum heat with the fire heat level for those who dare.
The Hot Chick’n Sandwich is more than just a fried chicken sandwich with spices
For the chicken portion, Shake Shack let us in on some of their secrets via a press release. They use antibiotic-free all-white meat chicken breasts and then use the sous vide method to first slow cook the chicken in a buttermilk marinade mix. Once cooked, the chicken gets hand-breaded and fried crisp to order.
The Hot Chick’n Sandwich features the aforementioned chicken breast along with a cherry pepper slaw and pickles. All of this is piled on a potato roll which is never a bad way to go. If you want to avoid the carbs of the potato roll, you can choose the Hot Chick’n Bites which also come with a choice of ranch, BBQ, or honey mustard dipping sauce.

The Hot Chick’n lineup debuted on September 1st and is only around at participating locations for a limited time. The non-defined timeline means we should get to Shake Shack as soon as we can to enjoy the spicy chicken items and even if you do not want spicy fries, the Shake Shack crinkle cut fries are always a welcome treat even in their normal form.
