KFC launched a new chicken sandwich using their famous recipes
KFC has launched the KFC Famous Chicken Chicken Sandwich in Canada and it sounds mouth-watering!
For many people, KFC was the first name they came to know for fried chicken. They have been synonymous with the fast food chicken market in America for decades. This is why I am happy to see they are getting in the budding fried chicken sandwich market.
Move over Chick-fil-A and Popeye’s, the Colonel is coming for you. According to Chewboom, KFC has launched the new Famous Chicken Chicken Sandwich in Canada.
For many people like me, there is not much better a go-to item than a good fried chicken sandwich. There is also nothing wrong with having another fast food establishment getting throwing their hat into the chicken sandwich ring. Like Chick-fil-a and Popeye’s, KFC’s menu is based primarily on chicken so it makes sense for them to battle the other two best-known sandwiches on the market.
KFC’s chicken sandwich is made from 100% Canadian farm-raised chicken. The chicken is marinated in buttermilk before being hand-breaded with the same triple breading as KFC’s Extra Crispy Fried Chicken.
The chicken filet is then drizzled with buttery garlic oil and also has a creamy mayo topping. As with any great southern chicken sandwich, this KFC sandwich also features three sweet and chunky sliced pickles. The sandwich is all paired between a toasted potato bun which has to be the ultimate in slightly crunchy with a tender center reminiscent of the chicken itself.
The KFC Famous Chicken Chicken Sandwich is currently being offered in original or spicy versions. There are combos served with fries or as part of a box meal which also includes a drumstick, individual fries, individual side, and choice of drink.
Unfortunately, it is only available at KFC locations in Canada. Here’s to hoping it makes its way to the US very soon.
