Hostess has unleashed a new flavor of Twinkies, you’ll want to try this one!

Tired of pumpkin-flavored everything? Mixed Berry Twinkies are headed to a store near you.

Make all the jokes you want about the venerable Twinkie. How they will survive the apocalypse or how they won’t decompose no matter what you do to them. Be that as it may, the snack is still one of the world’s favorite snakes and for good reason. They are really, really good.

Now, as the calendar turns to fall, Pumpkin Spice Twinkies have already arrived on store shelves everywhere. However, if you aren’t quite ready to dive headfirst into pumpkin everything but want something more than the regular Twinkie, Hostess has just the thing for you.

Mixed Berry Twinkies are the next great thing

According to Delish, Hostess in releasing brand new Mixed Berry Twinkies pretty much as you’re reading this. This snack are filled with a strawberry, blueberry, and raspberry crème (hence the name) and is made with real fruit.

A box will include ten Twinkies and unlike some other new flavors, Mixed Berry doesn’t look to be a store exclusive. Which means you should be able to find them just about everywhere.

While I prefer my Twinkies in the original variety, a Mixed Berry version does sound intriguing. If nothing else, it’s a nice respite from the pumpkin-flavored assault that will be taking over the world of food for the next few months.

What do you think? Does a Mixed Berry Twinkie sound like something you would try? Or will you wait for the pumpkin spice version? Leave a comment below and let us know.
