Sour Patch Kids comes out with Just Blue bags

Sour Patch Kids is finally making all our dreams come true and releasing all blue-raspberry flavored bags of their candy. The blue Sour Patch Kid is far superior to all the other flavors and sometime soon we can get bags of just that flavor. I could no be more excited. I might faint.

Last month, the brand asked fans to vote on their favorite flavor of Sour Patch Kids. The options were red, yellow, blue, orange, or green and when they counted the votes, blue won! They announced the news via Instagram.

Although, if you go to the individual Instagram posts for each flavor, it looks like red won, but there must have been more votes when they did the official tally. However they counted, I’m just happy my favorite won!

Based on the comments, I’m not alone and these are going to be very popular. People said things like “I’m going to spend so much on this,” Blue is the best,” and “I’m buying all of em.”

I don’t know about you, but I will be right there with them. I wouldn’t be surprised if these sold out the first week they’re available.

While there is no date yet when the Just Blue bags will be in stores, the post did say they are “coming soon.” Instagrammer junkfoodonthego posted that the new bags will be out in January 2021, but since that’s not an official statement, take it with a grain of salt. Whenever it comes out, it’s supposed to be permanent, as in this isn’t some limited edition bag. We will have Just Blue all year round!!

Someone also asked in the comments whether these would be available at Walmart stores, but the brand simply answered “keep an eye on the candy aisle.” I’m saying that’s a yes, but we’ll all have to wait and see.
