It’s pumpkin spice latte season, but the best one may be one you can make at home

Do you stop to grab a Pumpkin Spice Latte from Starbucks each morning or your go-to coffee spot? We’re here to help you learn how to make your own at home!

Even if you have a Pumpkin Spice Latte from a local shop and not Starbucks, what you spend can quickly add up. And with the holiday season just around the corner, now is not the time to waste all your money away.

Why not learn how to make your own Pumpkin Spice Latte? It’s not as difficult as you may believe, and Delish shared a simple and fun recipe for you to try. This isn’t the first time Delish shares a delicious recipe, so we’re excited to try.

How to make a Pumpkin Spice Latte

Here’s what you need:

  • 1 c. whole milk
  • 2 tbsp. pumpkin purée
  • 1 tbsp. maple syrup
  • 1/2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice, plus more for garnish
  • 1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
  • 1/4 c. hot espresso or coffee
  • Whipped cream, for garnish

The directions say to heat and whisk together milk, pumpkin, maple syrup, spice, and vanilla extract in a saucepan over medium heat. Be sure you whisk constantly until warm (not hot).

Blend it all nicely in an immersion blender and pour into a mug! Top with pumpkin-spice foamed milk, whipped cream, and pumpkin pie spice.

In my humble opinion, this is an overload of pumpkin spice! But to each their own. I’m going to give the recipe a shot, but skip the pumpkin pie spice in the end and experiment with the ingredients to see what works best for my taste buds. If I mess up, I can always run over to Starbucks.
