Sonic is testing a new twist on their classic tater tots
Sonic’s latest tater tot experiment has everyone excited to eat their vegetables
There are so many great options to choose from when you take a trip to the Sonic Drive-In. At times it feels like the menu is a sensory overload of deliciousness. From hot dogs to french toast sticks to breakfast burritos, Sonic’s menu is the fast-food menu that includes something for just about anyone.
And now, according to Delish, this trend may be continuing as Sonic is testing new cheddar broccoli tots. Their regular tater tots are definitely one of the best in the game. And if these broccoli cheddar tots are anything close to the regular tater tots, then Sonic will have a big hit on their hands. The tots are basically warm bites of broccoli and melted cheese mixed into the traditional Sonic tater tots and fried to crisp perfection. It is the perfect side to make you feel a little less guilty about eating one of Sonic’s Chili Cheese Coney Dogs.
If you have ever had some of Green Giant’s Broccoli Cheddar Veggie Tots from the frozen food section, I imagine these take those and bring them to a completely new universe. When I make those frozen goodies at home, I enjoy them and the thought of the Sonic Broccoli Cheddar Tots makes me want to run out and grab them even more. The Sonic Broccoli Cheddar Tots have been described as reminiscent of a broccoli cheddar casserole which is perfect with Thanksgiving soon to be upon us.
Sadly, Sonic has not brought the new tots to areas where most of us can buy them – yet
Unfortunately, not everyone can run out to try the new Broccoli Cheddar Tots from Sonic. This is because Sonic is only testing these new veggie and cheese tots in Wichita, Kansas and Chattanooga, Tennessee – at least at this time.
The test is only for a limited time, but hopefully, the test run is going well and we can all get our hands on the tots at a Sonic, at least within driving distance, at some point soon. (We are keeping our fingers crossed.)
