The holiday season is officially here with the release of the popular Starbucks holiday drinks. Yet one drink was still absent – the popular Gingerbread Latte!

As of November 6, the popular Starbucks holiday drinks returned to the delight of fans across the nation. Along with the popular drinks, they also released their ever popular holiday cups. Yet one drink was missing from this year’s menu for a second consecutive year — the Gingerbread Latte.

Starbucks cut the popular drink from their menu last holiday season so they could focus on new drinks instead. Per Delish, if you still need that spicy yet sweet drink you can order a Cinnamon Dolce Latte or even the Chai Latte with extra spices.

Starbucks leaves Gingerbread Latte fans with no holiday cheer

Of course, that’s not really the same thing, but both the Cinnamon Dolce Latte and the Chai Latte are admittedly delicious. Starbucks themselves have announced the closing of 200 stores between the US and Canada, in alignment with consumer habits. So finding your favorite holiday drink may become slightly harder, on top of the lack of the Gingerbread Latte we crave.

Still, need your fix? Starbucks Canada still has the Gingerbread Latte on their menu! While you may not be able to make a trip up to Canada due to the current pandemic, this still gives US fans a glimmer of hope. Maybe with enough public persuasion Starbucks will bring the coveted drink back for a limited run. If you’re not brand loyal, you could hop over the Dunkin Donuts for their Gingerbread Latte!

Personally, I would love to see their other internationally found holiday drinks. The Fudge Hot Chocolate in the UK and Ireland sounds amazing. I also hope the delicious Salted Caramel Mocha makes a comeback one day. What are some of your hard to find or discontinued drinks? Let us know in the comments below!
