DoorDash introduces Gifting, send the gift of food this holiday season

DoorDash facilitates sending a loved one a tasty meal or snack (or drink) this holiday season with Gifting.

Gifting, a new feature from DoorDash, is making it easy for users to give a loved one the best gift of all — the gift of food.

In all honesty, I believe nothing says love more than your loved one’s favorite meal or snack. Am I right? And this holiday season we may, unfortunately, not be with all our friends and family due to COVID-19, but that doesn’t mean we can’t shower them with all the love.

In fact, this holiday season, we need to bond more than ever and show everyone who is important in our lives how much we care about them. This is why I love this new offer from DoorDash.

How does Gifting from DoorDash work?

The new Gifting feature allows you to send everything from a small treat to a full meal, and everything in between. No, seriously, everything in between! Just check out the full announcement from DoorDash HERE to read the full details.

Beginning today, Nov. 19, through Nov. 27, DoorDash is celebrating the launch of Gifting by giving YOU $10 off on your next order for every gift of $20 or more on DoorDash or Caviar you give.

The announcement also shares that, for every gift give on DoorDash or Caviar from Nov. 24-Dec. 1, they’ll match it by donating a meal to someone in need through Feeding America.

Ready to give and receive? Here’s how you can: 

On your DoorDash or Caviar app, change the address to the recipient’s location. Then, choose and personalize the gift and hit “send as a gift” on checkout. This will come with a digitally-animated card for you to personalize with your message.

Finally, place the order and share your gift. Don’t forget to let your loved one know that a special treat is on the way!
