Forgot dessert or a bottle of wine and not sure which grocery stores are open on Thanksgiving 2020? We’ve got you!
On any major holiday, grocery stores either close their doors or change up their hours of operation. Typically, it’s the small businesses that are closed, while major chains stay open (but maybe with different hours). What will happen this Thanksgiving 2020?
Today, not only is it Thanksgiving, but it’s also the year 2020, and you know what that means — everything is shaken up.
COVID-19 has changed a lot of things we are used to. In fact, most of us won’t be able to celebrate Thanksgiving or do the same traditions as last year and the years before. What will you be doing this Thanksgiving? A small gathering at home? Celebrating with the people who live with you? Either way, there’s always a chance you need to run to the grocery store near you.
Not only are hours of operation different on holidays, but many have limited hours and staff due to COVID-19. That said, here’s what we know!

Don’t bother stopping by at these locations: Aldi, Costco, Sam’s Club, Target, and Trader Joe’s will not be open for business this holiday. That’s right, Target and Walmart are also closed.
This is the first time in decades that Walmart decides to close, but at least you have other options and are not left in the cold if you forget something.
If you came to this page because you forgot something, where will you be stopping by for it?
