McDonald’s: 8 secret menu item combinations
Just wait until you discover the items on McDonald’s secret menu.
When someone thinks of McDonald’s greatest creations, It’s safe to say they think of the Big Mac, the Quarter Pounder, Filet-O-Fish, and their salty, savory french fries. With such an impressive catalog of iconic classics to choose from their menu, it’s hard to fathom the thought of a secret menu.
Now, I’m not going to act like the fact in itself is some intriguing discovery. I mean, practically all restaurants have a secret menu with great items. But when you take into account the diversity, mixed in with how much you can customize a McDonald’s order, it is hard to believe that more people wouldn’t have already known… that is, if the items weren’t secret, of course.
In this article, I intend to showcase some of Mickey D’s best secret menu items. If you like the sound of that, you’re in luck. If not. Well, hey thanks for stopping by. It’s been a pleasure writing this snarky, sarcastic, passive-aggressive sayonara for ya. For the remaining few (or not) that are still reading this post, let’s kick things off, shall we?
The Monster Mac
Behind the quarter Pounder, it’s safe to say that it doesn’t get any more McDonald’s than their signature big mac sandwich. A regular big mac consists of two patties, three buns, cheese, pickles, onions, shredded lettuce, and Big Mac sauce (which tastes a lot like thousand island dressing.)
If you’re an even bigger fan of the big mac (and you’re willing to risk being labeled “a heart attack just waiting to happen”), The Monster Mac is your dream sandwich. Your best bet to order this one is to ask for 8 patties on your big mac, accompanied by 8 slices of oowey, gooey goodness… or cheese, if you prefer.
The Monster Mac is certainly not one of McDonald’s healthiest options, but hey, who goes to a fast food joint thinking they’re going to lose 40 pounds eating burgers and fries, anyway.
The McKinley Mac
If you live in Alaska, there isn’t really anything “secret” about this entry. However, if you’re located anywhere else in the world, there’s a great chance you’ve never heard of a sandwich called The McKinley Mac before.
If you’re wondering, the McKinley part comes from the name of the largest mountain in Alaska: Mount McKinley. As for the Mac part, well I’m sure you know where that comes from by now. The hack here is to order the Big Mac as you normally would but ask for two quarter pounder beef patties as replacements to McDonald’s standard.
If you’re not a huge fan of McDonald’s portion sizes when it comes to their hamburger patties, this is a great way to get more beef for your buck.
