Root Beer Float

Yes, I’m well aware that it’s close to wintertime. Yes, I do understand that a much better choice would be to write about a hot coffee beverage from their McCafé or something along those lines.

I totally get that the winter is meant to be the time of year you put on your turtle neck sweater, stay indoors, sip some homemade hot cocoa and binge-watch your favorite Christmas flicks, but let’s be honest, anytime is a great time for ice cream, am I right?

While it isn’t listed on their menu, if you ask for a root beer float at Mickey D’s chances are they’ll give you one. This is perfect for fans of soda/ice cream, of course, but it obviously doesn’t stop with just root beer. There’s also Coca-Cola, Dr. Pepper, and all of your other carbonated favorites, as well.

Neapolitan Shake

While we’re still on the ice cream in the wintertime tip, it only makes sense that I bring up McDonald’s Neapolitan Shake. As you may have already known beforehand, this type of shake combines everyone’s three favorite ice cream flavors (vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry) then mixes them into one delicious creation.

Much like the aforementioned Root Beer Float, if you ask for this menu item, the server will probably already know what you mean. If they don’t then no problem. Just ask them for a vanilla shake, mixed with strawberry and chocolate ice cream.
