El Pollo Loco is celebrating 40 years with a serious throwback

This month marks the month that El Pollo Loco will be celebrating 40 years in business! Take a look at this throwback to how they’re celebrating!

El Pollo Loco (“The Crazy Chicken”), founded by Pancho Ochoa, is a group of two independent restaurant chains that are controlled by two different companies, that serves a whole array of their specialty, Mexican-style grilled chicken. They were first founded in Mexico in 1975, then moved on to the US locations that we all know and love today.

With the big 4-0 anniversary coming up, El Pollo Loco has come up with a way to pay homage to its heritage story and trademark L.A. Mex cuisine. There will be specially designed retro gift cards, followed by a super special anniversary offer!

El Pollo Loco is turning 40 this month and are celebrating such an anniversary retro-style with this throwback logo and cool anniversary offer!

Here’s how the anniversary retro offers will commence:

  • Starting December 8th, 2020, through December 9, 2020, with a purchase of a $40 e-gift card to celebrate their 40th anniversary, customers will get a $10 e-gift card.
  • These specially designed gift cards were designed to include the chain’s (retro-style) bright colors in their original logos, alongside some imagery from the original El Pollo Loco location.
  • In addition to these two anniversary offers/celebrations, this “new” retro-style logo will be spread all across their menus and social media account(s) to commemorate such a significant moment(s) in time.
