Fast food and healthy certainly don’t go together.
From as early as the 1920s, fast food has been the one-stop-shop for all your greasy, saturated unhealthy favorites.
It goes without saying that McDonald’s Big Mac, Wendy’s Baconator, and Burger King’s world-famous Whopper Sandwich will never be going on anyone’s healthiest choices to lose weight list.
In all honesty, from the time it was invented, fast food was never intended to be the healthiest option. Its intentions were more based on its convenience more than anything else, particularly the speed of service.
Still, to this day, fast food fanatics have seen plenty of attempts at what would seem to be healthy options. Some do prove to be healthy; at least compared to something like the aforementioned Big Mac. Others feel more like cheap ploys to get customers to buy items that weren’t any better than their unhealthier options.
