Where can you eat with the family on New Year’s Day 2021?

Are any family restaurants open today for New Year’s Day 2021?

On any holiday, the last thing anyone wants to do is cook. Think about it, it’s a holiday! Many of us are off work and just want to relax. If you are with the family on New Year’s Day 2021 and are wondering which restaurants are open, we’ve got your back!

Parents, this is especially true for you! Home with the family? Don’t spend any time in the kitchen, we do this enough already every single day — most of us are even homeschooling thanks to the pandemic. Needless to say, we deserve a much-needed break.

Ordering delivery or stopping by for takeout is great, and our safest option during these times, but you can’t beat dining-in at a restaurant.

All you need to do is show up, have a seat, order, and enjoy! I understand it may not be safe to do this at some locations, but most restaurants have been doing an excellent job keeping everything sanitized and safe.

That said, here are family restaurants that are open on New Year’s Day 2021

  • Olive Garden
  • Cracker Barrel
  • Cheesecake Factory
  • On the Border
  • Chili’s
  • Applebee’s
  • Cheddar’s
  • IHOP
  • Maggiano’s
  • TGI Friday’s
  • Red Lobster

Basically, any major restaurant chain will be open on New Year’s Day 2021. However, please keep in mind that hours may be different than what we are used to.

Most of the locations above are observing shorter hours of operation — which in this case is opening later than usual. The most popular time I have seen is 11 a.m., which shouldn’t interfere with your plans as most of us have lunch right after this time.

You will also definitely be able to enjoy dinner at one of these locations.
