Friday Favorite: San Martin Bakery and Restaurant in Dallas

San Martin Bakery and Restaurant is our current favorite Dallas gem, and their new Valentine’s Day dessert menu is too sweet for words!
Whether you are searching for tasty new desserts your taste buds will fall in love with or are simply on the hunt for a new restaurant to check out in the DFW area, San Martin Bakery and Restaurant needs to be at the top of your list.
Earlier this month, San Martin hosted Guilty Eats to a tasting of their Valentine’s Day dessert menu. It was a real pleasure getting back out there to a foodie event to put our taste buds back to work in a safe (and oh so delicious) setting.
Below, we share our first impressions of these desserts.
Valentine’s Day has arrived at San Martin Bakery and Restaurant
We told you these desserts were too sweet for words! I loved everything about them. Just by looking at the images, you can see the fine details in every part of the cakes — from the breading to the moist and sweet strawberries.
Now, for those not familiar with San Martin, it’s important to note that they are both a restaurant and a bakery. Guests are welcomed to dine-in and enjoy the restaurant’s breakfast, brunch, and dinner options — and don’t forget dessert.
However, one can also stop by to visit the bakery, which offers a wide variety of sweets to take home. So if you only want to stop by for one of these sweet babies to take home to enjoy (whether it’s for a date or yourself, we’re not judging) you absolutely can!
The macarons are truly something else! And you can select from many flavors. My two favorite macarons are Dulce de Leche and San Martin Coffee. Both of these are best enjoyed with your favorite coffee (or try San Martin’s signature coffee).
Each dessert features unique flavors with each creation standing out from competitors. I don’t know about you, but this is my new favorite bakery! And though I’m a good 20-25 minute drive from San Martin’s (and this is with no traffic), it’s well worth the trip!
If you are wanting to go out for Valentine’s Day, or simply a dinner, at a restaurant that offers a safe environment during these tough times, San Martin is the place to go!
