Michelle Obama stars in the upcoming Netflix series Waffles + Mochi, an educational show that aims to encourage children to eat and be healthy. Here’s everything we know about it!

At Guilty Eats, we love a good foodie series, and Waffles + Mochi has already stolen our hearts. Yes, because it will feature Michelle Obama and we adore her, but also because who doesn’t love a fun educational series with a spin?

Most shows that target a young audience teach the alphabet, math, and other school subjects, which is amazing. But Waffles + Mochi is a little different.

Waffles + Mocchi is a 10-episode food series that is executive produced by Michelle Obama and former President Barack Obama, Entertainment Weekly shares.

The former first lady has always been passionate about teaching our children to be healthy, both by consuming good meals and exercising. So this series is perfect.

Michelle Obama’s Waffles + Mochi premiere date

The series premieres on Netflix on March 16, 2021. Each episode will run for approximately 20  minutes. This is perfect for the attention span of young children.

Michelle Obama’s Waffles + Mochi synopsis

According to the press release, the synopsis shares that:

"“Once upon a thyme, deep in The Land of Frozen Food, lived two best friends named Waffles and Mochi with one shared dream: to become chefs!”"

We love it already. The synopsis continues to state that everything Waffles and Mochi cook is made of ice so their dream is more difficult than they believed it would be. With the help of a supermarket owner, Mrs. Obama, Waffles and Mochi learn to cook alongside other cooks, kids, and celebrities.
