Dallas and other counties in Texas are in the middle of a winter storm. With temperatures at a record low and heavy snowfall, are fast food restaurants open today? What about delivery services such as Uber Eats?

Snow continues to fall in Dallas, Texas. Residents are not used to such temperatures. And as much fun as it is to watch the snow gather and cuddle up at home with a good show or movie, how much fun is a snow day when you can’t have food delivered to your door or aren’t able to go out to grab a pizza? That’s right, not very!

Early on Feb. 14, 2021, grocery stores were packed with people wanting to stock up on essentials. This is because snow and temperatures are expected to get even worse today, Monday, Feb.15.

Staying home today (and possibly the next couple of days) and wondering if you can order a meal or stop by for some to-go? Unfortunately,  we can’t provide a very clear answer.

Which fast food restaurants are open during this winter storm?

The thing is, it varies and it all depends on your location or the fast food locations near you! I personally was not able to find any drivers on Uber Eats or DoorDash. I couldn’t late last night and I’m still not able to.

Chipotle and Chili’s were also not offering delivery or Curbside Pick-Up. It’s possible many restaurant chains may not even open today as it is simply too risky for employees to drive.

However, fast food joints will likely be open for drive-thru. This includes McDonald’s, Burger King, and Sonic. Do expect delays, though, as these fast food restaurants may not be fully staffed. In some locations, the contrary may be the case and you’ll get speedy service due to few customers.

How are things looking in your area? Stay safe and warm!
