Target sales: After-Valentine’s Day candy and chocolates sales are the sweetest
By Sandy C.
If you’re like me, you love a good sale of your favorite treats! And when it comes to candy and chocolates, there’s no better day to shop for them than the day after Valentine’s Day. Where to go for the best sales? Target sales, of course!
Now that Valentine’s Day is over, it’s time to stock up on candy and chocolates! Searching for a good bargain? Target is your spot.
I love going shopping after holidays! I am the one going to stores on Dec. 26, after Halloween, you name it! Yes, after Easter, too! So you bet I’ll be there today, Feb. 15, 2021.
I don’t only purchase candy and chocolates, though, I also love getting the holiday decorations! Most of the things I can use right away, the rest I just save for next year. After all, it’s not like decorations go bad.
Target sales: After-Valentine’s Day treats are the best
From my experience, here’s how Target does its after-holiday sales: On day one (after the holiday), the discount ranges from 15% to 30% off. It’s not the biggest discount, I know, but you will get the best selection of candy and brands — especially if you show up at the store early.

For a bigger discount, wait a day or two. This is when sales go up to 50% off, just note that not too much will be available. And while sales do go up to 75% off, don’t expect to have too many options. It’s all leftovers, and possibly conversation hearts.
One important note is that you buy candy only if you plan on eating it within 8 months or so as candy does expire. Don’t make any food purchases you plan on saving for next year. Expiration dates vary, but chocolates and candy shouldn’t be consumed after 10 months.
