For one of our next destinations, the best sandwich is an obvious choice, given its location as a little hint for ya. As for the other location that we will be traveling to next, the sandwich is a bit unexpected to me, but as Julie Chen from the hit reality TV show Big Brother says, “Expect the unexpected.”

Which sandwich is sounding the best to you? Any ideas, be sure to let us know!

Next up, let’s travel to Maine and Maryland!

19. Maine

Sandwich: Lobster Roll

Where to Enjoy: Bite Into Maine

Simply and shortly put over here, Maine is the best place to get a lobster roll hands down. Although I haven’t had the great eating pleasure to eat there and have an authentic lobster roll (never had one in general anyways), I’m sure that the locals and those whom have traveled there will tell you the exact same thing anyways.

As far as Bite Into Maine goes, they unfortunately had to close their Food Truck doors until April 1, 2021, but no worries, they will be back and better than ever! Here’s their statement on the issues:

"Bite Into Maine closed until April 1st Thank you! We are humbled by your support in what was one of the most challenging years we’ve ever weathered. It is your support and patronage that carried us through, and we won’t forget it. We’ll be re-opening on April 1st–please come and let us serve you, and here’s to a brighter future for us all. Stay safe. Stay healthy. Eat well. BIM"

Have you tried this one yet? Your thoughts? Let’s hear it!

20. Maryland

Sandwich: Pit Beef Sandwich

Where to Enjoy: Jake’s Grill

While traveling a certain direction, in a certain part of town, Jake’s Grill is one of the best restaurants along the countryside, in which it is essentially the only commercial business that travels and nomads will come across for a good, long while.

What’s on their classic pit beef sandwich, you may be asking yourself? A whole heaping pile of charcoal-cooked roast beef, “cooked pink as a sunset” as they say themselves, that is super thinly sliced (just how I absolutely love it), all on a fresh roll with a horseradish-mayo-style sauce. A popular addition to this delicious enough meal? Well, some good ole BBQ sauce….DUH!
