Both of these next sandwich destination contain some sort of fried fish smashed in between some delicious freshly-baked sandwich rolls. Sounds good to you too? Keep on reading then!

What is your idea of the perfect sandwich? We’d certainly love to know/debate with you!

Next up, let’s travel to Minnesota and Mississippi!

23. Minnesota

Sandwich: Walleye Sandwich

Where to Enjoy: Tavern on Grand

What a better way to celebrate Minnesota’s state fish, the Walleye, than to make a sandwich out of it! Tavern on Grand is located in St. Paul, MN, and seems to be both a local’s and a traveler’s favorite spot to get a delicious and freshly-caught walleye sandwich!

As they say, this is the type of fish sandwich that you need to taste….properly. That being said, the sandwich is literally just the seasoned fish (not fried) and a roll. For now, ditch the tartar sauce or whatever else it is that you use to sauce up fish sandwiches. Once you try it, feel free to experiment with your saucey heart’s content, folks!

Have you tried this one yet? Your thoughts? Let’s hear it!

24. Mississippi

Sandwich: Po-Boy

Where to Enjoy: Pirate’s Cove

Such a broad array of a good ole seafood-based sandwich. However, if it’s good, it’s good; and if you know, you know.

Pirate’s Cove is one of those places out in Mississippi that is just known for their seafood po-boys. What else should you snag while you’re there? Some of their peel-and-eat royal red shrimp (a pound) for just $16! Go home and whip up your own classic seafood/shrimp po-boys for dinner one night as well! Super Delish!
