The best sandwich in every state
Forty-eight down, and exactly only two left to go now. We are officially in the home stretch here, so hold on just a bit more with us, and we promise that it’ll all be worth it in the end (if it hasn’t been proven to you already).
Which sandwich will be rounding up our list here? Let’s see and indulge on in!
Next up, let’s travel to Wisconsin and Wyoming!
49. Wisconsin
Sandwich: Double Brat on a Hard Roll
Where to Enjoy: Old Fashioned Tavern or Charcoal Inn South
A good ole Wisconsin brat is a classic meaty dish, whether it be in a sandwich form, by its lonesome self, or just about any other form. It’s delicious, meaty, sometimes greasy (which is all so good and well), and definitely deliciously flavorful.
Top it with some chili, cheese, onions, and beans to make them a chili brat. Or if you’re a double brat sandwich newbie, then just go the deliciously classic route from the eating establishment itself, which is basically just the meat itself all on a freshly hard sub roll.
Have you tried this one yet? Your thoughts? Let’s hear it!
50. Wyoming
Sandwich: Baguette (Ham & Cheese)
Where to Enjoy: Persephone Bakery
For our final savory treat on this list, we have yet another classic ham and cheese sandwich, as we’ve seen a lot in these past few rounds of state sandwiches.
The baguette itself is stuffed to the gills with ham and gruyere, mustard and butter. Anything sound better than that to you? Not to me. Hot ham and cheese sandwiches are simply one of the best sandwich flavors of all time. Tell me something I don’t know.
How many of these sandwiches have you tried?
