When you go into your local bookstore to pick up a Giada De Laurentiis cookbook, you pretty much know what to expect. Lots and lots of pasta, lots of sauces and recipes that are generally not for anyone who is on a diet.
It’s this kind of food and cooking that made De Laurentiis one of the early darlings of Food Network. It has helped make her one of the most recognizable and popular food celebrities on television, won her an Emmy and a string of bestselling cookbooks.
However her latest release, Eat Better, Feel Better, is not your typical Giada De Laurentiis cookbook. Instead, according to her it’s a book that will help you reset your digestive system thanks to some changes in diet and how you prepare your food.
Now, before you click on a different article thinking “I don’t need another diet book,” according to De Laurentiis, Eat Better, Feel Better isn’t that. Instead it’s a way to reboot your system while eating foods that taste amazing and not having to go without.
Giada De Laurentiis believes our gut rules our entire body.
As reported by Mashed, when De Laurentiis hit her thirties, she started dealing with sinus infections that would prevent her from working on her various shows for Food Network due to problems with sunlight. She eventually discovered it was a result of her serious sweet tooth.
She solved the problem by cleansing her gut and rebooting her system. Eat Better, Feel Better is the result of those efforts. It took De Laurentiis a decade to research and write the book and the result is a system anyone can follow to reboot their gut in three days.
In addition to recipes and tips for finding foods that work with you instead of against you, Eat Better, Feel Better also delves into the worlds of meditation, yoga and setting limits for yourself. All while eating foods that taste amazing that you can cook yourself.
Eat Better, Feel Better sounds like a whole new direction for Giada De Laurentiis and how she intends to present food and her lifestyle to her fans going forward. The book is available at all fine booksellers right now.
