We are approaching the halfway mark here, having been to just twenty-two of the fifty states in the USA. If any must-try haven’t caught your eye yet, then open up, because something’s about to.

Any of these must-try foods can you find in your home, away from their home state? Let us know, and share all the deets with us!

Next up: let’s travel to Minnesota and Mississippi for some more added deliciousness!

23. Minnesota

Food Item/Food Dish: Fried Fish (Friday Fish Fry’s)

Where to Enjoy: The Anchor Fish & Chips

When you go to Minnesota, there’s one thing that many look forward to on Friday Nights: Friday Fish Fry, most of them being all-you-can-eat (and who doesn’t absolutely love that). On most menus, there are all sorts of fishies being fried up, from Polluck to Cod, but one of the most popular fishes to be eaten in a crispy and golden fluffy fried batter is none other than the Walleye, which is actually Minnesota’s official state fish! Fun Fact!

With this delicious Fish Fry, you can expect to be served with it a pint of beer, alongside some crispy and golden french fries, as well as some tartar sauce and ketchup for dipping (and yes, ketchup actually goes great with fried fish, so if you haven’t tried it, do. it.).

24. Mississippi

Food Item/Food Dish: Biscuits (yes, that’s it)

Where to Enjoy: The Biscuit Pit (or literally anywhere else over there, tbh)

Okay, if you don’t like biscuits, first of all, you’re nuts, and second of all, this will change your mind. I mean, come on, who doesn’t love a nice hot biscuit with literally whatever you want on it? From breakfast sandwiches, to adding honey to them, breaded chicken, or just straight up butter, biscuits are what’s up, and in all honesty, I could live on them and would be very happy if that was the only food to ever be in existence in my lifetime.

Why are biscuits to special and unique to Mississippi? They are actually the biscuit capital of the world! Fun Fact!
