Must-try foods are always something that people can go on-and-on about. If something at a particular restaurant catches your eye, then chances are you’re bound to tell someone else about it; that’s our goal here. Get everyone talking about all-things food! Now, onto the second half of the list!

Which must-try foods on this list make up your top five thus far? Let us know now!

Next up: let’s travel to Nebraska and Nevada for some more added deliciousness!

27. Nebraska

Food Item/Food Dish: Tin Roof Sundae

Where to Enjoy: The Potter Sundry

As of just a little while ago, I had absolutely no idea what a Tin Roof Sundae was; however, now that I know, I must get my hands on one and devour it (all to myself of course). Basically, here’s what it consists of:

  • Chocolate Ice Cream (topped with Hot Fudge Chocolate Sauce)
  • Vanilla Ice Cream (topped with Warm Marshmallow Cream Sauce)

Then, on top of it all, some skin-on Spanish Peanuts top off the sundae for the most delicious combination of flavors ever. This just sounds like a Summer Bonfire in ice cream form, and what sounds better than that?! I’ll wait….

Food Item/Food Fish: Buffet(s)

Where to Enjoy: The Buffet at The Orleans Hotel and Casino

Sure, I know what you’re all thinking: a buffet isn’t one single food item or food dish; however, it is one thing that whenever I think of Las Vegas, I think of. When I was there, there were buffet signs in every hotel/casino that I walked into, and that to me, was the tell-all for number twenty eight on this list here.

Having been to Vegas one time and staying at The Orleans Hotel and Casino, I can tell you this: you can just smell the buffet once you get close enough, and it smells amazing. Of course nowadays many locations are choosing to opt out of  doing their buffets, but I’m sure they’ll be back soon.

Best part of the buffet at The Orleans? They have a serve-yourself soft serve ice cream machine. Swirl it, cone it, bowl it, and top it off with whatever you choose. Aren’t a sweet person? Try their made-to-order omelet station with fresh eggs, produce, and meats to add along to it. Who doesn’t love or want eggs and ice cream for breakfast?!
