Next up: let’s travel to New Mexico and New York for some more added deliciousness!

31. New Mexico

Food Item/Food Dish: Frito Pie

Where to Enjoy: El Parasol

Frito Pie?! Yes, pie. But it’s not actual pie; it’s better. Here’s what it consists of: crispy corn chip fritos, some sort of red chile sauce, topped with different varieties of beans, ground beef, shredded cheese, and shredded lettuce. The best part about this ‘pie’ is that it’s so messy that it’s definitely not a car meal. Take it home, and make sure that you’ve got tons and tons of napkins. Trust. Me.

32. New York

Food Item/Food Dish: Bagels

Where to Enjoy: Ess-A-Bagel

New Yorkers are almost as proud of their bagels as they are their pizza. It’s different, it’s delicious, and it’s all freshly made nonetheless. They claim that they are puffier and chewier than basically just about any other different types of bagels from different types of places.

The most classic combination in New York and a bunch of other famous bagel places, such as Einstein Bros. Bagels, cream cheese and lox. A lox bagel sandwich. I’ve had them. I love them. Top them with capers, and drink alongside a hot latte. You won’t regret it. I promise you.
