The best must-try foods from every state
Some of the closer must-try foods will be sweet, some will be savory, some will be classic flavors, and some may surprise you nonetheless.
Which of these next two must-try foods will be your new fave? Let’s talk down below!
Next up: let’s travel to Rhode Island and South Carolina for some more added deliciousness!
39. Rhode Island
Food Item/Food Dish: Coffee Milk
Where to Enjoy: Dave’s Coffee
For over 100 years, coffee milk has become so iconic in Rhode Island that it became the state’s officially drink back in 1993. It’s basically Rhode Island’s version of a milkshake, minus the ice cream (although, yes, ice cream would taste food with some of this poured over it, am I right?).
Coffee shops all across the state will serve this, but of course with some artificial sweeteners that really just seem to kinda throw the taste right out the window, defeating the whole entire purpose in general. Dave Lanning of Dave’s coffee thinks just a tad bit differently over here: Brazilian-brewed beans with some cane sugar simple syrup (yup, that’s it (minus the milk of course). Want some of the delicious syrup? Go ahead and buy it online. Trust me, a ton of people do already!

40. South Carolina
Food Item/Food Dish: She-Crab Soup
Where to Enjoy: Soby’s
Creamy soup. Pieces of crab. Crab topping off the soup. A tad bit of spice. This to me sounds like one of the most delicious soups out there! She-crab soup typically blends cream, fresh crabmeat, and some orange roe (eggs) from the female crab, therefore, how it gets its name of ‘she-crab’ soup.
Besides Soby’s that opened up back in 1997, there’s also a place called Sea Capatin’s House out in Myrtle Beach that has been serving this fan-favorite for just over 55 years now! Eat up!
Which place is better? Which place has the best She-Crab Soup?! Let’s debate!
