Anything on this list catch your wandering food eyes yet?If not, don’t worry because we’ve still got ten more states to visit and ten more special foods to sink our teeth into! Let’s go!

All of these must-try foods sound good, but which sounds the BEST?!

Next up: let’s travel to South Dakota and Tennessee for some more added deliciousness!

41. South Dakota

Food Item/Food Dish: Lefse

Where to Enjoy: Hy-Vee

Unless you’re Norwegian or are a huge fan of Norwegian food already, then you’re probably scratching your head at the name of this dish. Apparently, Lefse is quite the Norwegian staple. What is it exactly? Well….Lefse sounds like one of the most delicious things out there in all honesty. Here’s what it’s made of in its entirety:

  • Flat potato bread
  • (best enjoyed) Butter spread
  • Sugar sprinkle

Now, there’s absolutely nothing about this food/dish that sounds bad to be. I would truly love to dig straight into some of this immediately. Are there other varieties of Lefse? Let us know down below!

Have you tried this special food yet? Your thoughts? Let’s hear it!

42. Tennessee

Food Item/Food Dish: Hot Chicken (either sandwich or no sandwich)

Where to Enjoy: Prince’s (the one and only)

This one’s the most obvious choice here. When you hear the phrase ‘hot chicken’, the city of Nashville almost always goes in front of it. While I’ve never personally tasted Nashville Hot Chicken straight from Nashville itself, the different frozen varieties that I have tried (including one by the famous Vegan brand, Gardein) are super delicious and mouthwatering in the best ways possible.

Served with crispy chicken and topped with pickles, this sounds like heaven and comfort to me!
