Next up: let’s travel to Florida and Georgia for some more added deliciousness!
9. Florida
Food Item/Food Dish: Key Lime Pie
Where to Enjoy: Kermit’s Key West Key Lime Shoppe
Key Lime Pie is seriously a Summer flavor favorite. It’s got that perfect amount of tartness, mixed with a creamy custard filling to balance it all out from there. And of course, it’s not a true Key Lime Pie without that signature graham cracker crust that we all know and love. What’s a pie (or cheesecake for that matter) without one, am I right?!
Kermit’s is such a fun place to go and visit. The outside of their building is a bright green, representing the key limes themselves, of course. You can buy all sorts of things at this store, from candy, to pies and other sweets, to handcare and soaps, and even jellies and oils/salsas. Just about anything and everything can be made into something that’s deliciously flavored like the classic key lime flavors.

10. Georgia
Food Item/Food Dish: Boiled Peanuts
Where to Enjoy: Finch & Fifth
Such a classic snack wherever you go; however, Georgia’s official state crop is none other than the peanut itself, quite a worldwide favorite tried and true. Plus, if you’ve got that real sourthern drawl, you’ll pronounce this dish “bolled” peanuts (which is so fun to hear/listen to alike).
Over at Finch & Fifth, for a little fun fact here, their kitchen over there sources roughly fifty pounds of peanuts each month from nearby sources. In fact, the farm actually boils (“bolls”) them in their very own Pabst Blue Ribbon beer, with their own special blend of delicious spices.
