Sweet Corn is such a classic thing. Lathered in butter, maybe even add some shredded cheese to it to make it your own melty goodness of a side dish. However you like it, it’s delicious. Be sure to enjoy some freshly grown and picked sweet corn from one of Iowa’s most favorite farmers’ markets or an Iowa staple known as a specialty sweet corn shop.

16. Kansas

Food Item/Food Dish: Burnt Ends

Where to Enjoy: Joe’s Kansas City (A.K.A. Oklahoma Joe’s)

Burnt ends are personally something that I’ve enjoyed myself, right from the comfort of my own home state of Illinois, and let me tell ya: they are life-changing. They are crispy, delicious, and full of so much dang flavor(s).

This particular dish is known to many as “meat candy”, and it’s just as sweet, delicious, and mouth watering as it truly does sound. They can be just the burnt ends, or sometimes even have some classic Kansas BBQ flavors and tastes to them alike as well! Enjoy however you please to do so!
