Can you enjoy indoor dining after being vaccinated?

So you’re fully vaccinated, now what? Can you begin to practice a more normal life? Is indoor dining an option again? Here’s what we know!

Now that the weather is warmer, patio weather is ideal and most enjoyable. However, what we truly miss is indoor dining, an option that wasn’t available until recently (or perhaps still not, depending on your location).

Since the COVID-19 vaccine greatly reduces your risk of contracting the virus, does this mean you can once again do the activities you used to enjoy? According to Eater, indoor dining isn’t suggested. At least, not yet.

How soon can you dine indoors after the vaccine?

The source shares that you still pose a risk to others even if you are fully vaccinated. You are now able to safely enjoy small gatherings and reunited with friends and family you have not seen in a while, but guidelines suggest you still avoid medium to large gatherings, and continue using your mask.

At the time of this writing, about 12% of the U.S. population has been fully vaccinated and 21% still need the final shot.

Simply put, it’s best to wait a few more weeks before you dine indoors. At the end of the day, though, it’s all up to you. If you feel safe and know the restaurant well, why not enjoy brunch with a couple of close friends or family?

But hey, it’s spring! If you don’t out on the patio, you are missing out! Enjoy the cool breeze and sunny weather.
