While they don’t have the presence in the fast food market like they used to, Roy Rogers remains a fan favorite for those who still remember the chain. Known for their Fixin’s Bar and incredible Roast Beef Sandwiches, people will usually go out of their way to eat at one.

You would think that given the pandemic and how chains are reimagining themselves in its wake, this would be the perfect time for Roy Rogers to make a comeback. I know I would love to be able to eat their Bacon Cheeseburgers on a regular basis again.

That said, just because Roy Rogers is now considered a small time player in the fast food wars, that doesn’t mean they have stopped introducing new ideas for customers to try. And the latest sounds like a winner in my book.

According to the cowpokes at Chewboom, Roy Rogers is introducing two new menu items for a limited time that should convince anyone to saddle up and seek them out. And yes, the cowboy puns will continue unabated. Deal with it.

Roy Rogers unveils the new Big Sky Burger.

First up is the Big Sky Burger, which includes a quarter-pound burger topped with Smithfield pulled pork, Beer Battered Onion Rings and Duke’s Georgia Sweet Heat barbecue sauce. It all comes nestled in corn-dusted kaiser roll.

The other new item are the aforementioned Beer Battered Onion Rings. It includes a quarter-pound of onion rings with a side of Duke’s Georgia Sweet Heat barbecue sauce. All you need is a campfire to get your cowboy on.

You are able to wrangle up both items as participating Roy Rogers for a limited time. Thankfully you won;t have to rob a stagecoach to get either with the Big Sky Burger running $5.99 and the cost of the Beer Battered Onion Rings at $2.99.
