During the Season 19 finale of Hell’s Kitchen, it was tough not to root for Mary Lou. While Kori was obviously the more qualified and ready to run a Hell’s Kitchen restaurant in Lake Tahoe for Chef Gordon Ramsay, you couldn’t help but hope Mary Lou pulled off a miracle.

Over the course of the season, everyone got to watch as Mary Lou, who began the series a competent but unremarkable chef, as she grew and blossomed into someone who made the finale of Hell’s Kitchen. Even though she lost, there are very few chefs who can say they ever made it that far in the history of the series.

Mary Lou is a chef that is just beginning to realize her potential and has a long and likely distinguished career ahead of her. You know Chef Ramsay will be keeping an eye on her and will be there to help her if she asks.

Additionally, in losing Mary Lou showed everyone just why she became op popular with the fans and just how much of a class act she really is for someone so young.

Mary Lou’s reaction to losing Hell’s Kitchen is a lesson to us all.

According to Mashed, after the finale aired, Mary Lou went to her Instagram to thank everyone who played a part in her getting where she did in the competition. She made special mention of Chef Christina Wilson, one of Ramsay’s assistants on the show, calling her a mentor.

It would have been easy to not say anything or to play the sore loser and say that she deserved the win over Kori. But Mary Lou took the high road and fully realizes that her climb to the top is well underway despite coming in second on Season 19.

In fact, it would appear the opportunities are already starting to land on Mary Lou’s doorstep. According to her Instagram (which any foodie who calls themselves a foodie should be following) she had recently signed with CEG Talent, an agency that handles reality stars and influencers.

So it would seem that we have not heard the last of Chef Mary Lou Davis. Not by a long shot.
