McDonald’s wasn’t always like this. The fast food giant used to be very generous with its meals, particularly breakfast. There used to be a time when McDonald’s honored the fact breakfast is the best meal of the day, no matter what time of the day you indulged in it.

I don’t know about you,  but I crave a sausage biscuit with cheese (or jelly)  in the morning, but also as a late-night snack. Hashbrowns are also great at any time of the day. So who do we have to blame for the removal of all-day breakfast? That’s right, the pandemic.

Like everything else, the pandemic interfered with. Movies and shows were forced to shut down production, but the restaurant industry was just as, if not more, heavily impacted.

When the pandemic began to take over, restaurants across the country shut down, closed their dining rooms, and limited their menu. Even McDonald’s had to change a few things, besides closing its dining rooms. Now that things are beginning to settle down, will the fast food change bring back all-day breakfast?

When does McDonald’s bring back all-day breakfast?

The answer is, possibly never.

Mashed shares that all-day breakfast was never something the brand enjoyed. Simply put all-day breakfast was never “a favorite” with the restaurant operators.

The fast food chain has way too many meals available. Even the breakfast menu offers multiple options. Can you imagine both together? It’s just too much to deal with, the source explains. Not to mention, imagine the mix-ups!

In fact, getting rid of all-day breakfast was likely something the fast food chain toyed with for a while and the pandemic was the perfect time to do this. Needless to say, I think they like it this way.

For now, nothing has been decided, but don’t expect the all-day breakfast menu to be back any time soon!
