Pizza is amazing! It’s cheese and bread and sauce and toppings! How can it get better? Well, it might just about to in Rome with their fresh pizza vending machines. And this isn’t just like heating up a frozen pizza in a machine. It’s a for-real pizza made from scratch.

How is it done? The Mr. Go Pizza Machine not only kneads the pizza dough, but it also rolls out the dough, puts on sauce and cheese, and allows you to pick from four different toppings. It only takes about 3 minutes!

It then delivers your pizza to you through a slot in the front. This is all for the price tag of anywhere from $5.20-$7.20 depending on what you choose.

How this got to Rome, the home of for real, actual authentic pizza, before America, the home of calling anything and everything a pizza, I have no idea.

We are much more about convenient food so it’s only a matter of time before these are in every major city, right?

A few Romans are none too happy about it. Some say what the machine makes is not a proper pizza at all but closer to the Northern Italian piadina while others say it tastes fine and is good for those who don’t have time to sit down and make a proper meal.

The Mr. Go Pizza Machine also happens to be within walking distance of a popular pizzeria so it will be interesting to see which one sells more pizza.

Will the machine beat the classic Italian pizzeria in Italy? Or will an actual homemade pizza made by a person always beat a fancy pizza-making robot? Only time will tell!
