High West Distillery & Saloon releases limited edition bottle of Rendezvous Rye
Utah’s first legal distillery, High West Distillery & Saloon has released a limited edition bottle of Rendezvous Rye featuring the art of American artist Ed Mell. Known for their ability to craft Whiskey that is both distinctive and delicious, it only makes sense that High West Distillery would want to make sure that even their limited edition bottles feature something magical.
And what is more magical than a label featuring stunning artwork? How about art that stays true to the timelessness of the Western landscape? Of course, the limited nature of the Whiskey itself probably helps too!
The limited edition bottles of Rendezvous Rye were first released on May 3 and take the flagship Whiskey of the High West Distillery and take it to the next level with the inclusion of “more of our own coveted High West pot still rye.” This is a seasonal release that will become a centerpiece of not just your liquor cabinet, but your bar cart too.
Every year, you’ll want to get your hands on the new seasonal bottles to see how the distillery has evolved their flavors and aromas from the previous year. But of course, right now we are talking about the 2021 edition of the Rendezvous Rye.
High West Distillery & Saloon has released a stunning, limited edition bottle of their Rendezvous Rye
For 2021, the High West Distillery’s Rendezvous Rye features notes of “poached pear, bitter orange, ground ginger, lavender, wet sandalwood, tanned leather on a well-used wooden work bench.” From there, the taste is all about “persimmon, dried apricot, snickerdoodle, ginger chews, walnut sauce, spiced caramels in a cedar gift box.” Finally, this is all finished with toasted oak, allspice, and cocoa nibs.
Currently available in Utah liquor stores and locally at the High West Distillery or at their General Store for $69.99 per bottle, this limited edition Whiskey will be available nationwide by the end of May. And that means we haven’t missed out on our chance to snag a bottle of history and art for ourselves.
I know I want a bottle of this for myself, whether it is to drink or just to display, the Rendezvous Rye feels like the kind of liquor that needs to be in liquor cabinets everywhere. Whether you want to make a classic cocktail or drink this on the rocks, this is a classic Whiskey inspired by the way rye whiskey has always been made.
Whether it is the art of the label or the limited nature of this season’s Whiskey, this is a must for Whiskey fans everywhere. But what do you think? Will you be snagging a bottle for your collection?
