Masks policies are being updated daily. Foodies can expect many changes to come. What’s the policy at Starbucks? Do you still have to wear a face mask when entering the coffee shop?
The CDC continues to update mask policies, but, for the most, party each state and business can begin to make their own rules — and fast food restaurants are wasting no time in doing just that!
As Yahoo! Finance reports, the CDC has announced that those who are fully vaccinated no longer need to wear a mask outdoor OR indoors. Social distancing is also no longer required. With this new information, many food chains have changed their mask mandates.

Starbucks and Chipotle are two of the food business to make these updates. On their website, you’ll find more details, but find the bullet points, below.
Are masks required at Starbucks?
According to the site, fully vaccinated customers who stop by Starbucks can leave their masks in their car. Of course, this is optional. If you would rather wait until you feel safer, you are free to do so. The coffee shop simply wants everyone to know that they now have an option.
There is another important factor here to consider: The source highlights that this is, “only applicable where local regulations don’t require them by law.” So, for example, in Texas, you have the option not to wear a mask.
Employees, however, are still required to wear a mask during their shifts. Restrooms are still not available to the public. Hey, one step at a time!
How do you feel about this update? Do you believe Starbucks is making the right call here? Will you be wearing a face mask at the coffee shop or test the waters, first?
