Taco Bell: Get vaccinated in California, get a free taco

Look, I’m not going to lie. I feel that if you really want to end the pandemic that has ravaged the world, you really should get vaccinated. Period. No amount of reasoning is going to change my mind. However, I get why some people may need more convincing than others. Thankfully, Taco Bell is stepping up to help those who may need an extra push.

California has been one of the more proactive states trying to encourage everyone to roll up their sleeve and take a needle for the team. So they have announced the Vax for the Win program in that state. It combines cash prizes and freebies for those who may be hesitant to get vaccinated and let’s be honest, nothing gets Americans to do something like free stuff.

The goal is to get as many Californians vaccinated as possible before the state reopens on June 15. They are offering cash prizes, gift cards and more if you get the shot. Honestly makes me feel kinda dumb for getting my shot so early.

Anyway, in addition to all of that, you can also get a free taco. That’s right. And as we all know, everybody loves tacos, especially free tacos. And free tacos taste even better when you can get them on Taco Tuesday!

Get a free Doritos Locos Taco at Taco Bell if you’re vaccinated.

As reported by the taco lovers at Chewboom, on Tuesday, June 15 Taco Bell will be handing out free Doritos Locos Tacos to Californians who show proof of vaccination. It’s that easy. Just walk in, tell them you want your free Doritos Locos Taco, show your vaccination card and walk out with a free taco.

Kind of wish this was a nationwide promotion. I would love to get me a free taco.

The offer is only valid for in-store and drive-thru redemptions. And in case you’ve been living under a rock and forgot what a Doritos Locos Taco is (shame on you) it is a taco with a shell made from Nacho Cheese Dorito Chips and filled with beef, lettuce and cheddar cheese.

A free taco from Taco Bell on Taco Tuesday. If you ask me, that sound like a great reason to do the right thing and get vaccinated.
